Rock the Boat Ferry Cruises are live rock music sailings on the Cape May–Lewes Ferry held on Saturdays (from Cape May) from July 11 through September 5, 2026. The new Cape May round-trip cruise departs Cape May at 4:30 p.m. and returns at 7:45 p.m., with live music performed during the return portion of the trip across Delaware Bay.
Passengers from Lewes, Delaware may also join the experience by boarding the 2:45 p.m. sailing to Cape May and enjoying the music during the return trip.

Get ready to turn up the volume on summer Saturdays. The Cape May–Lewes Ferry is expanding its popular Rock the Boat music cruises in 2026 with an exciting new departure from Cape May, New Jersey.
For years, Rock the Boat cruises departing from Lewes, Delaware have been a summer tradition that regularly sells out. In response to strong demand, we’re adding a Cape May round-trip Rock the Boat cruise so our New Jersey passengers and visitors can enjoy the experience without crossing the bay first.
Beginning July 11 and running through September 5, 2026, the ferry will host live rock and roll performances onboard during the Saturday evening return sailing to Cape May, creating a floating concert atmosphere on the waters of Delaware Bay.
With live music, ocean breezes, drinks, and incredible sunset views, Rock the Boat cruises are one of the most energetic and memorable ways to experience the Cape May–Lewes Ferry.

Passengers departing from Lewes, Delaware can also experience the Rock the Boat music cruise.
- 2:45 p.m. departure from Lewes Terminal
- Ferry arrives in Cape May before the return sailing
- Live music is featured only on the return trip to Cape May
Please note: There is no live music during the Lewes-to-Cape May sailing. The performance takes place during the return trip to Cape May.

- Depart Lewes— 2:45 p.m. (returns at 6:15 pm)
Boardings begin about 30–45 minutes before each departure, so arrive early to check in and get settled.

Bar service is available via the Lido Bar (accepting both cash & cards) and satellite bars (cash only).
Because Rock the Boat cruises are very popular, carrying cash is strongly recommended for faster service.
